When is the best time to fertilize?
Most potted plants require fertilization throughout the growing season, from early spring to mid-autumn. It is important to choose the right fertilizer for your potted plants and apply it in the right amount. In spring, it is recommended to use fertilizers with higher nitrogen content (nitrogen: phosphorus: potassium = 10:6:6); in summer, it is recommended to use an average ratio (nitrogen: phosphorus: potassium = 6:6:6); in autumn When using fertilizers with lower nitrogen content (nitrogen: phosphorus: potassium = 3:6:6). However, some experts prefer to use the same ratio all year round, simply applying smaller amounts towards the end of the growing season. Although fertilizer for potted plants is the same as regular fertilizer, purchasing it at a potted gardening store (or online) can help you get the correct ratio of nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium. Biogold fertilizer imported from Japan is the first choice for most pot plant enthusiasts, but it is not currently sold in Taiwan; Osmocote from the Netherlands is also very popular; other fertilizers with the correct proportion of nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium are actually The effect is good. Liquid or solid fertilizers can be used, and chemical or organic fertilizers are all similar, but be sure to follow the instructions on the product packaging.

How to fertilize?
Follow the directions on the fertilizer product package to apply the appropriate amount and frequency for your potted plants. When the pot is in its non-shaping stage, you can apply smaller amounts to balance the pot’s growth rather than continually irritating it. When using solid fertilizer, the fertilizer box ensures that the fertilizer does not disintegrate easily. Never over-fertilize, as this will cause serious fat damage to the potted plants.
